Country Road Produce has existed in the Brisbane Markets at Rocklea over the last 20 years supplying, in the early years, independent retailers – throughout Queensland. We have expanded over the years to include retailers in Nth NSW as well as the Shipping Supply Industry which services ships throughout most ports in Queensland.

Over the last 5 years out continued service and quality has eventuated in the supply to the United States Navy whenever visiting ports from Sydney to Darwin. Country Road Produce is not one of the larger secondary wholesalers based in the Markets, however this enables us to keep in contact with our customers on a personal and more frequent basis. This ensures our customers are fully informed of the many changes that do occur daily and weekly within the Markets.

Greg Penisi, a specialist buyer on our team is also our Retail Support person, although still at a reasonably young age Greg has had many years of experience in the retail side of fruit and vegetables through his father who owned retail shops. Greg learnt the traditional ways of this business.

He took this experience into his own business at a young age and was very successful utilizing the skills he had learnt from his father and combining that with newer and more innovative ways as retail moved on into the more modern world. Greg has already been utilized by a number of our customers and his fresh innovative ideas can assist others.
